나린증류소는 대구경북의 지역특산주 제조장입니다. 농어촌마을연구소 등 여러 단체/기업과 함께 우리나라 농어촌 사회의 위기전환을 연구하며, 블루카본 운동을 전개하고 있습니다.

Narin Distillery is a regional craft brewery based in the Daegu–Gyeongbuk area of South Korea. In collaboration with organizations such as the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Rural Community Research Institute, Narin engages in research on ecological transition and actively promotes blue carbon initiatives.

이화선 대표는 인문학자이자 사회운동가이다. 지난 10여년간 “전 세계 막걸리-벨트 구축”을 슬로건으로 내걸고, 글로벌 시장을 겨냥한 한국 술의 국제적 브랜드 개발에 힘써왔다. 지역경제 활성화를 위한 청년 사업가 육성 및 정부와 지자체의 다양한 정책 개발에 참여하고 있으며, 특히 2019년부터 대구경북에 내려가 일제강점기에 사라진 재래종 벼를 직접 시험재배하고 있다.

나린증류소는 설립 3년 만에 경상북도 우수기업으로 선정되기도 했다.

Dr. Yi Hwa-seon is a humanities scholar and social activist.

Together with Co-Founder, Professor Sunook Park, she has promoted the vision of building a “Global Makgeolli Belt,” working beyond her academic field to develop Korean traditional alcoholic beverage as a global brand. Since 2014, she has led initiatives to expand Korea’s traditional alcoholic beverage industry to international markets by founding a nonprofit organization under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Her work has also contributed to local community development and national brand enhancement. Since 2019, she has been based in Gunwi-gun, an inland region of Daegu–Gyeongbuk, where she cultivates and restores heirloom rice varieties that disappeared during the Japanese colonial period. She is actively experimenting with the development of diverse rice strains for brewing purposes, as part of her commitment to revitalizing the Korean liquor industry. Narin Distillery, which she co-founded, was selected as an Outstanding Enterprise by North Gyeongsang Province just three years after its establishment.

류세진 연구원은 대학에서 경영학을 전공하고, 전통주 분야에서 실무와 학문을 함께 수련해가고 있는 실천형 연구자이다. 이화선 박사로부터 사사 받으며 양조이론과 현장경험을 쌓고 있다. 현재 경상북도 안동시에 위치한 주류 전문 플랫폼 <7월>의 대표로서 전통과 현대를 아우르는 주류 기획 및 상품 개발에 힘쓰고 있다. 로컬 발효 문화와 브랜드 개발, 그리고 청년 세대의 전통주 산업 참여 확대에 관심을 갖고 활동 중이다. 또한  나린증류소와 함께 지역 전통주 기반의 연구 및 실험 프로그램을 공동 기획하고 있다.

Sejin Ryu is a practitioner-researcher who majored in business administration and is currently deepening his expertise in traditional Korean brewing.

He is studying under Dr. Yi Hwa-seon, learning both the theoretical and practical aspects of suul-brewing. He is also the founder and CEO of , a wine and spirit specialty platform based in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, where he explores new approaches to liquor design that connect Korean tradition with modern sensibilities.

His work focuses on local fermentation culture, brand development, and expanding youth engagement in Korea’s traditional liquor industry. Ryu actively collaborates with Narin Distillery on experimental research and regional brewing initiatives.
